I’ve been involved in a lot of music journalism over the years, so I’ve been lucky enough to meet some of my heroes. Tairrie B of My Ruin is a massive inspiration and it was awesome meeting her in person- she is such a badass woman and has such a powerful presence. Benji from Skindred and the lads from Alestorm are absolutely lovely and hilarious. In terms of “awestruck”, I met Phil Demmel backstage at a Machine Head show and I was a goofy wreck. I think I told him that I loved his sideburns and then asked to join Machine Head. Still waiting on that reply...
If we were to head out to one of your live shows what can ourselves and others expect?
Stupid banter, onstage foolishness and a hell of a lot of energy. We want to stick in people’s memories, like an unpleasant stain. Gimmicks may also include kazoos, burlesque dancers, bubble guns or stupid costumes..."
